Stella McCartney’s long awaited lingerie line has now been launched and is available to buy; with flirty girly names like ‘Jessica Bathing’ and ‘Eve Giggling’ for her bra sets, we wanted to take a wee peek to see what we think!

According to Ms McCartney, her love for lingerie is a long-standing obsession; using her expertise as a fashion designer and her love for lingerie, she has got together with Bendon (constructors of Elle McPherson’s lingerie), to produce lingerie that is well-made and beautiful. With a ‘functional’ but sexy look to it, McCartney’s collection is reminiscent of the simplicity we see with French Brand Huit; simple cottons and silks have been expertly put together with Stella’s signature feminine shades to create a collection that seems to complement Stella McCartney’s current fashion collection beautifully.

Eve Giggling
Our attention was drawn, in particular, to the Eve Giggling Set; with blush silk and tulle mesh for the cups, and wide silk straps, the bra is like ballet shoes and a tutu rolled into one. The silk cups have stitch detailing, evoking images of hand-crafted vintage couture; the matching thong is simple with see-through tulle mesh and a piece of elegantly positioned silk to keep it on the right side of sexy.
Given that Stella McCartney is among the most renowned designers in recent times, one might expect the price of her lingerie to match that of her clothes; at £80 for the Eve Giggling Bra and £40 for the Thong we think it’s not a bad price! Other pieces include the Daisy Dreaming bra at £60, the Jessica Bathing Bra at £65, and the cheekily named Sandy Stripping Bra at £125 ; all are available exclusively online at Net a Porter.
For a (perhaps slightly indulgent) weekend treat, we think you will love these Weekend Knickers £65 from the collection; the briefs are made of cotton and silk with lovely ‘old fashioned’ lace trim - a cute option for a flirty weekend girl!
